Becky Hill

Folklife and Culture Intern
Project Volunteer

Becky is in her senior year at Davis and Elkins College in Elkins, West Virginia working on a BA in Theatre and English. Since she has been there she founded an Appalachian Music and Dance Club, served as co-editor of Aurora Literary Magazine and worked for Augusta Heritage Center. She is constantly found hiking, flatfooting, singing and playing banjo and hopes that through art the mountains will be saved. She will be creating a theatre piece extracted from Coal River Valley interviews combined with the Appalachian folk culture. In addition, she is involved in community mapping, transcribing past interviews and cd distribution for Still Moving Mountains, The Journey Home.
